Welcome to The Victoria Practice

We are a three Partner Practice providing medical services on behalf of the Belfast Health & Social Care Board. The practice is suitable for disabled access. The Health Centre is wheelchair friendly and has disabled toilet facilities, disabled car parking bays, and lifts to access all floors.

We are not a Dispensing Practice.

Our aim is to provide a high quality, caring and personal healthcare service to our whole patient population by:

  • Putting our patients at the centre of what we do
  • Having a highly qualified and trained multi-professional integrated primary Healthcare Team
  • Offering our services in a safe, supportive and suitably equipped environment, using technological advances in healthcare systems for our patient’s benefit

We work very closely with our allied Community Nursing, Health Visiting and Specialist Teams to ensure your care is co-ordinated to the highest of standards. We welcome any comments or suggestions you may have.

PRACTICE UPDATE

If you require urgent medical assistance please when the surgery is closed please contact the Out of Hours doctor on 02890 796220.

The Victoria Practice is now operating an IN-HOUSE TREATMENT ROOM – if you have an appointment for bloods/injections/dressings, etc. please check in with our reception team located within the Victoria Practice on the 3rd floor of the Arches Health Centre.

APPOINTMENT SYSTEM UPDATE We are currently offering PRE-BOOKABLE ROUTINE telephone appointments and a limited number of URGENT TELEPHONE calls each day which are triaged by our daily duty doctor. Face to Face appointments are available when required AFTER a telephone consultation with a doctor. Please be advised that our medical receptionists will ask for some details regarding the nature of the call so the GP can triage the call appropriately.

IMPORTANT CHANGE TO THE WAY YOU ORDER REPEAT MEDICATION –  From February 2023, you will no longer be able to order your repeat medication via our dedicated repeat telephone line. You will be able to order your prescription ONLINE via the patient access website or app – please contact a member of our reception team to request an information sheet and access code. Alternatively, you can POST or leave a WRITTEN request directly to the surgery. DO NOT COME to the surgery to collect prescriptions. Please NOMINATE A LOCAL PHARMACY who will collect your prescription on your behalf. Please allow 48 hrs for us to process your request and further time for the pharmacy to dispense the medication.
